What. A. Day!

Let me start by saying I love my children.
However, I am quite certain today they were out to get me!

Where do I begin?
They woke up an hour early and were ready to GO!
First up, a stop in Target, which was pretty uneventful.
It's when we returned home from our shopping trip, that everything changed!

First was almost an entire bottle of ketchup on my youngest sons head, on my kitchen chair, and on the floor.
All of that while I vacuumed the living room.
And you'd think that my youngest son would be begging for mercy.
Nope, he just sits there and lets his older brother torture him!

Then it was my favorite part of the day....NAP TIME!
My youngest son went to sleep without a hitch!
My three year old son....not a chance!
In fact, he didn't take a nap at all!
All day he was on a "torture my little brother" kick.

So, needless to say, I had a pretty stressful, hectic day!
But what else is to be expected in the life of a stay at home Mom?
This is what I signed up for.
And truth be told,  I wouldn't change these time with my boys for anything in this world!

Now the boys are sleeping and the house is quiet!
I am going to have a glass of something and read a few chapters of a book.
Until tomorrow......

Mommyhood....

It has been nearly three years since I have become a Mommy.  It has been a whirlwind to say the least, but it is full of exciting and trying times.  I started this blog to help me document six months of single motherhood.  But with two boys, I was unable to keep up.  I found an outlet in twitter, which has been tremendously helpful.

So now I am moving to a new phase of my life.  Mommy to a toddler and to a pre-k.  I am contemplating entering the workforce again.  I have had a wonderful time at home with my children, but I did not set out for this to be a permanent lifestyle.  I have had some wonderful opportunities come across my path, so we will see what is next for me!  Wish me luck, and I will keep you all posted!

Until Later,

Whew!!!

Whew! That is all I have to say about the last few days. If my children weren't two years old and two months old, I'd be quite certain they have been trying to get rid of me!

Let me explain. As you may know, I am now the "Head Honcho" in this house. My spouse is away on deployment. And as proud of him that I am, there is also a part of me when my children are screaming I think to myself; Lucky Bastard! No, I haven't lost my mind, yet. But over the last few days I have lost complete control of my bedroom, if that's what it is anymore. My day seems to be full of putting out small fires ie: poop blow-out on Kid #2, Kid #1 sliding on printer paper across the tile floors, and Kids #1 and #2 simultaneously CRYING!

So with all that being said, I am dedicating my weekend to organizing our home and our schedule. I NEVER imagined staying home with MY OWN children every day could be so exhausting! Mind you, I'm not completely naive. But I was thinking it won't be easy, but I can do it. I'll play with them, feed, them, we'll read books, and they'll be GENIUSES!! Uh, yeah..I just want them to be alive at this point. LoL!

I also want to spend next week on ME TIME! Even though I'm a rookie at this Mommy gig. I know that I must maintain some sort of sanity for myself and my children. So next week I'll blog about my favorite products and new products I want to try and share.

Thanks for listening....Whew!!!!

Can I Do It All???

This may sound like a silly question to all the single parents out there. But, I haven't been raising my children alone and quite frankly, I hope I have what it takes! I was raised in a single Mom household. My Mom can do it all! She would cook, clean, sew, work outside the house, and take care of us. All of that with too little money, family, and Prayer. So here I am, about to embark on a seven month journey with my two children while their Dad is serving Our Country. And I ask myself, Can I Do It All???

Just so I have this straight, here is my to-do list for the next seven months. I will be the sole caregiver to two children ages 2 years old and 2 months old. I will clean house, cook the food, take out the trash, change all light bulbs, water the grass, talk to the gardener, make sure cars are serviced, pay all the bills, spend quality time with my children, get my nails done, get my hair done, grocery shop, and make sure I take time out for myself every once in a while? That's impossible!!!

I'm convinced to do all of those things and still manage to be a haute mama are impossible!!! But I know so many single Moms who make it happen every day!! So my hat goes off to all of you, especially my Mother. Because growing up watching you, I know I will make it through this journey all in one piece and still as haute as ever!

Until Later,

I'm officially a Mommy of two!!

I have been slacking the last couple of months. But I have managed to tweet over 2000 times...LoL! I know that is no excuse, but being on bed rest was not always easy or comfortable. So I didn't spend a lot of time on my desktop or laptop. But I have news....Our second son was born!! Jaxon Alexander was born July 15, 2009 at 7 lbs 1 oz and 18 inches long. I made it to 37 weeks and he was just as perfect as I'd imagined!

So now the real fun begins....SAHM to two children, and one man who sometimes may as well be my third child, hmph!

I have been home for a total of four days and I am a lot more sore than I remember with my son. Yet I still find time to clean up after myself and others, who shsll remain nameless. So now the real challenge begins...how do I maintain a stress free, clean household, still take time for myself, and find the to nurture my relationship. In just four days, I have not touched the surface of these parts of my life. But I'm sure as soon as I get the "hang" of it, it will be time for the man to leave and serve Our Country....

Well that is my update in a nutshell...right now I am on my bed with my two year old son watching Noggin, new baby is sleeping, and honey is making dinner...ahh if all nights were this calm and peaceful...

I look forward to my journey with the "world" or "big brother" watching....

Ciao!
