Thankful Thursday!

Another stressful day behind me!

It wasn't much different than yesterday, so I have no new funny or insightful messages.

I do, however, have a funny video. 

It's the funniest thing, my 15 month old son, will not say his own name.

If you ask him his name he replies, "I'm Jaden."

His name is Jaxon, by the way....lol!

It's thankful Thursday for me.

I am thankful for my health, sanity, family, and friends.

I plan to spend some time with the girls this weekend. I am sooo excited!

It was long overdue and well deserved if I might add. :)

Back To School!

Greetings!  I am on a productive kick today (and my kids are napping) so I figured I would check in!  Today was the first day back to school, for me, not the kiddies...lol!  I've already done my reading and turned in my first assignment.  Let's hope I am able to continue this momentum as the class goes on.

I have also decided to make myself another vision board.  I have had my current for about two years, and upon looking at it, I realized, I have accomplished quite a few things on the list! Yippeee! However, I am two days shy of turning 30, and I am on a kick of reflection; with new goals, wants, and needs.  I'll keep you posted.

Home life has been hectic!  My boys are almost 14 months and 3 years old.  They keep me so busy, that I'm not exactly sure how I manage throughout the day.  However, they are both speaking well, counting, and learning at an amazing (to me anyway) speed!   Even when they are trying to simulate a hurricane in the house, I love those boys!

I hope all is well with you.  I need to make more time to engage with my family and friends beyond facebook and twitter, but sometimes it's just a lot easier to hold a conversation via text without the sound of crying, screaming kids in the background.  I hope everyone understands. :)

Checking in....

I know I've been MIA these last few weeks.  But it was for good reason.  Well maybe not, I have access from so many devices, it actually makes no sense that I don't keep up with everyone.  Forgive me? 

I can't believe it is already Thursday?!  Half of the month is already behind us.  Which means I am about six weeks away from our family get-away to Las Vegas for New Years Eve!  I am so excited!  I admit, I have been on a shopping frenzy buying cute and comfortable winter clothes for the boys and myself.  I have opted for two staples; leggings and skinny jeans.  I also bought a fabulous pair of INC boots from Macy's.  They are delish!  And I also bought a cute pair of wedge boots to wear on my more casual days.

I've also bought the boys some cute outfits for the cold weather.  Although I don't want to live in cold temps, it's too much fun to shop for cold weather. :)

On a Mommy note, I am actively potty training my two year old. *sigh* It's only been a few days, and he has learned the concept of "tell Mommy when I have to go" but if only he'd actually go in the toilet! LoL!  Who knew the little boy that doesn't seem afraid of anything else, is afraid to tinkle in the toilet. Go figure!

Other than that, all is well in our household.  I have a lot of new ventures I am going into.  I feel like 2010 is going to be the year of EVERYTHING!!!

Okay, well it's time to feed the kids, give them their bath, and bed!  That will be the highlight of my night! I think I'll relax and watch The Real Housewives of Orange County and have a drink.

Weekend Update...

It's my favorite part of the week, the weekend!  Not that I am "off of work", because we all know a Moms work is NEVER done.  So although I don't get to sleep in, I'm not off of work, and my kids don't give me any kind of break; I still enjoy it!  The weekends are care-free and not as stressful for some reason.  I also credit the fact that all of my friends and family are also off on weekends, so we can hang out or talk on the phone.  So, right now as I lay hang out on my couch watching football, and typing to you....I am relishing in the fact that it's the weekend baby!

This week was supposed to be different....

This week was supposed to be different. This week was supposed to be great! Alas, none of that happened. Here it is Thursday, and I am no more relaxed than I was last Thursday. *Sigh* this week I wanted to get my kids on a schedule that worked for all three of us. I wanted our day fly by smoothly, with everything falling magically into place. And then I woke up!

All jokes aside, I wanted to start my week with a little time each day pampering myself. I think it’s important to take time out from the hectic life as “Mom” to just unwind. Yet, I can’t even take my own advice! Now don’t worry, it hasn't been from lack of trying. However, as we all know with a toddler, whom I’ll refer to as, “Big J” it’s darn near impossible to predict his mood each and every day! And don’t even get me started on “Little J”, he is 2.5 months old; I won’t call him a “bad” baby, lol…but he has left behind the sleep all day infant phase. He wants to coo, talk, play with toys, and watch his big brother run around.

So what does that mean for me??? Well that meant no time to rave about my favorite new nail color; it’s called Pink of Hearts by Opi. It’s a pale pink color and it also supports Breast Cancer Awareness month. I have it on my toesies and I just love it! I also have had no time to try my Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk. I have heard wonderful things about her entire line of products. So I bought a few to try and share with you all. And if you’re wondering, I have not received any compensation for speaking about these products…LoL! I’m just a real life product junkie and I don’t mind sharing.

Well I have another busy day ahead. Surprisingly, “Big J” and “Little J” are still sleeping! So I am taking the time to get my schedule ready for the day. I’m trying something new this evening and I’ll talk about it in a separate post. Enjoy your day!
